How Bad Was 2021?

Well, it ain't over yet. But it's been bad, terrible in fact. And we came into the year with so much expectation that it would of course be better than 2020, it just had to be. But it was an unfulfilled expectations, majorly so.

First came the murderous right-wing riot at the Capitol on January 6th. The maggot mob want us to live under their thumbs and so they engaged in sedition, majorly so. They already turned the USSC into a radical far-right body with three stolen seats that doesn't even purport to represent the vast majority of Americans. How did seven Catholics get on the high court, with the holy see's perverted viewpoints on a woman's right to choose what's best for her own health and future (and her equal place in our society) and the separation of church and state.

Trumpers claim, it's my body so I don't have to wear a mask (and I'm free to infect the rest of you with covid or delta or omicron) or get a vaccination so the rest of us can  get out of this covid miasma we're stuck in with the virus having free rein amongst the unvaccinated to bring variants and breakthrough cases to the 60% of us patriotic Americans who have rolled up our sleeves for ourselves and our loved ones but also for the common good. Then how can they exclude women from exercising control of their bodies in their choices for themselves. Effin illogical hypocrites.

This year has been the worst I have experienced since my disastrous multi-year quarter-million dollar divorce early this century which cost me extrajudicially my three children through the real phenomenon of Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) perpetrated, in my opinion by their mother and her unscrupulous coterie of "professionals, whois I believe a covert narcissist. Look up covert narcissism, it'll make your blood curdle. Only that half-decade was worse than this year has been. And next year and the year after that, and 2024 might be progressively worse yet. I fear for America and think it might break up into several nations as a result of the tyranny of the minority (the less populated, less productive and crazily evangelical  hinterland) that the likes of Mitch McConnell and his ilk have forced upon the majority for decades now through quirks in the constitution such as the electoral college and each state having two senators so California's teeming millions can be negated in the Senate by Wyoming's few hundred thousands.

Doodles

Current day Republicans are an odd breed.  Their chief characteristic would be hypocritical.  I'm trying to practice charity here.

The second impeachment trial of the "former guy," as the current president refers to him as because he is a charitable man, was a foregone conclusion.  That seven GOPers found him guilty was staggering, like a vote of No Confidence in a parliamentarian system that will topple the government and force a new election within six weeks as in England, but our constitution created an impossible burden to remove a president of a two thirds vote of the senate so it is unworkable.  A violent insurrectionist went free.

Some day the dictionary will include a picture of the first guy in this toon next to the word liar.  It will include a picture of the second guy next to the word traitor.  And it will include a picture of the third guy next to the word idiot.

Then shall he answer them, saying: Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.  Matthew 25:45-46.

Doodling

The Chief Seditionist did leave the White House and he even participated in an hoary tradition of leaving behind a personal note to his successor.  It was his sharpie scrawl signature across a White House card and said in a postscript that the president could sell it on eBay and make a lot of money.  The transactional president to the end.

The outgoing president left under a cloud for engaging in traitorous acts in trying to decapitate the legislative branch on January 6th so he could stay in power in a violent coup attempted by his Proud Boy mob at the Capitol after he incited them at a rally he called on the Ellipse.  The insurrection failed and he was impeached for a second time in a single term, quite a record!  He had a seemingly foolproof defense though in that he had brainwashed the GOP which was already exhibiting unsettling signs of being powermad this entire century, making them susceptible to being okay with treason.

Reprehensible senators Josh Hawley (Q-MO), Yale Law, and Ted Cruz (Q-TX), Harvard Law led the Stop the Steal fiction on the Hill which so entranced the murderously cultish Trump base and facilitated the violent insurrection that day.  Yale and Harvard Law schools ought to do some serious soul-searching of their curriculums based upon the graduates they are sending out to tear down our democracy.  Maybe teach a little Con Law and, especially, ETHICS.

The impeachment trial in the senate is coming up during which the inmates will be in charge of the asylum.  An acquittal for the Seditionist-In-Chief is all but assured because, I predict, only one member of the QANON party will vote to convict, the honorable Senator Mitt Rommney, almost the only true patriot on that side of the chamber.  So the former president will not be bared from holding a federal office in the future and he can return with his frenzied madness and bold corruption to run again in 2024, perhaps with the batty delusional Marjorie Taylor Green as his VP pick.

Happy Birthday. You know who you are. Late 60s! The years rush by when you get as old as you are now, don't they? I hope you find that...
